One of the great things about this time of year is that CYC is given the chance to share about all of the hard work and success of our programs experienced this past fiscal year.  Thank you for Your Support
Records were broken on December 10th for Colorado Gives Day. Over $20 million dollars was donated to 1,442 nonprofits. Thank you to those who supported CYC on this day. There is still time to donate to CYC before 2013 comes to an end.

 CYC Youth Success: Meet Kathleen
Kathleen began working with CYC's Student Advisor, Fred Lewis, at the beginning of this school year. She was transitioned to Colorado High School Charter from Denver Public Schools George Washington High School due to poor attendance and bad grades. Kathleen didn't think school was a priority and dealt with a lot of distractions. Fred helped her to prioritize school while helping with her younger brother and working at her family's restaurant. Kathleen now has 100% attendance and continues to be on honor roll. In the spring, she plans to take two college classes while attending Colorado High School Charter.

CYC Volunteer Spotlight: Meet CYC's New Board Member
Clare Wilson is finance professional with DCP Midstream, LLC. Having held various roles within DCP's Finance and Treasury Organization, she is currently the Manager of Corporate Finance. Clare holds a Master's Degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver and has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.

 Join Team CYC for the 2014 Kaiser Permanente Colfax Marathon CYC is an official charity partner for the 2014 Kaiser Permanente Colfax Marathon. The marathon will take place at Denver City Park on May 17th and 18th. CYC's goal is to raise $10k and have over 35 runners participate in one of the following races; the full marathon, the half marathon, the Urban 10 Mile, the marathon relay, or the 5K race.
