Veterans History Project
Since 2000, the Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress has been collecting, preserving, and sharing oral histories of men and women who have served their country. We began collecting stories for the project in 2002, and are recognized as a Founding Partner. In recognition of Veterans Day on Nov. 11, we invite you to view our interviews of local wartime veterans. If you or someone you know would like to be interviewed for the Veterans History Project, contact Joe Popowitch, 630/887-8760 ext. 240.
