Our Book Clubs Are Back!
"Fall" back into reading with one of our September book discussions.
Novel Idea is for readers who like to delve into a book's characters, plots, setting, and themes. Drop in at the library on the second Wednesday of the month (September-May) at 7 p.m. Next meeting: Wednesday, Sept. 14, 7-9 p.m. Book: Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout (2008) Meet author Elizabeth Strout at One Author, One Community on Saturday, Sept. 24. Crime Readers is for those who like unraveling clues, interpreting evidence, and analyzing characters. We partner with the Woodridge Public Library to bring crime readers together on the third Thursday of the month (September-May). Meets at 6 p.m. for dinner (optional) and 7 p.m. for discussion at Home Run Inn Pizza, 7521 Lemont Rd. in Darien. GenLit is for 20-30 somethings. Join us for drinks, dinner, and discussion on the fourth Wednesday of the month (January-October) at 6:30 p.m. at various local restaurants. Find GenLit on Facebook. Short on Time is our group for those who can't commit to lengthy books and monthly meetings. Meetings take place every other month (except summer) and the group reads novellas and short stories. Drop in at the library.

Pokémon Go Meetup
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Pokémon trainers of all ages are invited to join us as we search Darien Community Park. We'll set up lures at the stops nearest us and afterwards, you can visit the library to battle for the gym. Meet at the library, outside near the front door. In case of inclement weather, check our social media for cancellation information. Open to all ages, but children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Delivery Available to Homebound Patrons
Did you know that IPPL can deliver materials to your home at no charge if you are permanently homebound due to age or disability, or temporarily disabled for at least one month due to illness or surgery?
