Have you seen the new
IPPL Foundation website?

The IPPL Foundation has launched a new website to keep the community and its donors up-to-date on fundraising events, projects, and contributions. Support the library by making a donation, buying a brick for the Reading Garden, adding a leaf or stone to the Donor Tree, or linking to AmazonSmile and iGive to shop online at the new ipplfoundation.org.

Our Donor Tree is Growing!

Do you want to have your name become a lasting part of the library? Are you looking to honor a special person or occasion, memorialize a loved one, or recognize an organization or business? Consider purchasing a leaf or stone for the library's Donor Tree. The tree is located near the first floor lobby by the DVD and CD collections. A leaf can be purchased for $250; a small stone for $1,500; and a large boulder for $5,000. Learn more.

Hey Pokémon Go Players!

Stop by the library - we're a Pokemon gym! We also have the following items for Pokemon hunters:

  • Wifi, A/C, and water
  • Phone chargers, outlets, and USB ports
  • Gastly, Venonat, Paras, and more
Parents: concerned about where your child plays Pokémon Go? The library is a safe place to capture Pokémon and battle for a gym.

In addition, Pokémon hunters of all ages can join us for a Pokemon Go Meetup on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 5-6 p.m. to search Darien Community Park. We'll visit pokestops, gyms, and have lures set up to attract wild Pokemon. This event is open to all ages, but children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the library, outside near the front door.
