Parents: if you're concerned about where your child plays Pokémon Go, the library is a safe place to capture Pokémon and battle for a gym.

In addition, adults can join us for a Pokemon Go Meetup on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 5-6 p.m. to search Darien Community Park. We'll set up lures at the stops nearest us and afterwards, you can stop by the library to battle for the gym!

The library will provide hands-on activities. Movies are outdoors behind the Darien Park District Community Center. In the case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown indoors in the gym.

Join us for a storytime and tour of the bank vault. Snacks and piggy banks will be provided. For children in grades K-6 and their families.

July is Park and Recreation Month, and we are looking for input on your favorite parks. Email the name of your favorite nature spot, forest preserve, or state park to joep@ippl.info by July 24. We'll take an informal vote at the library to pick the most popular later in the month.
