How-To Expo
Saturday, April 16, Noon-3 p.m.
Our first-ever How-To Expo will be a celebration of the creative and do-it-yourself mindset. The free event will take over the entire library, and topics will range from coffee brew methods to craft beer styles and composting to crochet basics. FUN FOR ALL AGES! All workshops will be taught by community members and local business owners.

Blackout Poetry Slam
Friday, April 1, 7-9 p.m.
April is National Poetry Month, and we're celebrating with a night of blackout poetry. Unfamiliar with the term? We provide pages of text, you "black out" words with markers, and whichever words remain will create a poem. We'll also have an open mic for anyone who wants to share their own poetry, blackout or otherwise. For 20-30somethings only. Register here.

Novel Idea is for readers who like to delve into a book's characters, plots, setting, and themes. Crime Readers is for those who like unraveling clues, interpreting evidence, and analyzing characters. We partner with the Woodridge Public Library to bring crime readers together on the third Thursday of the month (September-May). Meets at 6 p.m. for dinner (optional) and 7 p.m. for discussion at Home Run Inn Pizza, 7521 Lemont Rd. in Darien.
