Our first-ever How-To Expo will be a free, family-friendly celebration of the creative and do-it-yourself mindset. The event will take over the entire library, and topics will range from coffee brew methods to craft beer styles and composting to crochet basics. All workshops will be taught by community members and local business owners. See the full schedule.
Playaway Launchpad
Playaway Launchpads Now Available in Kids & Teens

Thanks to a donation from the IPPL Foundation, the library has purchased 14 Playaway Launchpads for kids. The learning tablets are pre-loaded with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and language apps. The Launchpads are available in our Kids & Teens department and can be checked out for two weeks.

6:15-7 p.m. and 7:15-8 p.m.

Join us for stories about machines with live improvised music and original songs. After the performance, there will be an instrument petting zoo provided by the The Lucky Trikes and William Harris Lee & Co. Geared toward ages 3-6 and their families.

To Kill a Mockingbird has been in the news this past year with the release of Go Set a Watchman and the death of author Harper Lee.  No one was a better Atticus Finch than Gregory Peck, but there have been other memorable lawyers in the movies. Click here for our list.

Groups of humans must survive in the library while taking down zombies with dart blasters. (Plus, there will be pizza. The zombie apocalypse isn't without it's comforts!) Register here.
