Reception Honoring Trustee Marian Krupicka Tonight
The City of Darien will host a coffee and cake reception to honor Library Trustee Marian Krupicka, Darien's 2016 Citizen of the Year, tonight, Feb. 16, at Darien City Hall, 1702 Plainfield Rd. The reception will take place following the city council meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. In addition, tickets are still on sale for the Citizen of the Year banquet on Saturday, March 5, at Alpine Banquets, 8230 S. Cass Ave. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased at Darien City Hall.

Create constellation crafts and check out our new telescope this week in our WouldShop™.
The WouldShop™ is a creative DIY space in our Kids & Teens department where families can gather to learn, explore, and create. It includes how-to books as well as tools and materials for select projects, including art, science, and technology. There are even kits that can be used in the library or checked out to take home.
