Marian Krupicka Named
Darien Citizen of the Year

Congratulations to Trustee Marian Krupicka for being selected Darien's 2016 Citizen of the Year!

Marian's contributions to the Darien community are numerous, including 30 years of teaching in Darien schools, 20 years of serving on the library board, participating as a long-time member of the Darien Woman's Club, and being active in her church. She was even one of the original volunteers that helped to start the Darien Library in the 1970s!

The City of Darien will host a Coffee & Cake Reception in Marian's honor on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Darien City Hall, 1702 Plainfield Rd.

In addition, the Citizen of the Year banquet will take place Saturday, March 5, at Alpine Banquets, 8230 S. Cass Ave. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased at Darien City Hall after Feb. 1.
