Learn to Harvest Seeds

The Darien Garden Club will have a seed harvesting booth at our Seed Library this Thursday, Nov. 19, 3-5 p.m. The Seed Library is at the entrance to the Kids & Teens department on the second floor.

Club members will show people how to harvest seeds from garden plants as they wind down. They'll have examples of seed heads, photos of the flowers they produce, and a power point of flowers and their respective seed heads. No registration needed - drop in!

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)
 
This month, NaNoWriMo participants are challenging themselves to write a 50,000-word novel in just 30 days. To keep participants motivated, the library will host a NaNoWriMo write-in this Saturday, Nov. 21, 1-3 p.m. Participants can write in the company of others and compete in additional challenges to boost their word count. Register here

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Kids in grades K-4 can share a story and a snack, and leave their stuffed animal for an overnight adventure at the library on Friday, Nov. 27, 4-5 p.m. Pick up the stuffed animal on Sat., Nov. 28. One stuffed animal per child.  Register here
