IPPL will host its third annual teen music fest on Saturday, June 20. Performers of any style of music ages 13-18 should apply by Saturday, June 13. Applications are available at thesound.ippl.info or at the Kids & Teens Ask Us Desk.

Museum Adventure Pass

Use your library card to check out a Museum Adventure Pass and receive free admission or special discounts at participating Chicago area cultural destinations! Participating museums include:

Please note: IPPL has a limited number of passes for each participating organization, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn More About SCORE 

SCORE, a nonprofit association that provides free assistance to small businesses, will be in our lobby today, June 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Their experienced business owners and management executives provide mentoring, workshops, and resource tools. To learn more about SCORE or book a free mentoring session, visit scoreFoxValley.org. 

 

In addition, SCORE will host a Small Business Roundtable Discussion at the library on Monday, June 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m. SCORE volunteers will facilitate structured discussion on topics of interest to small business owners and those interested in starting a small business.  


 

Drawing for Ravinia Tickets

IPPL has received a limited number of FREE Ravinia lawn passes to give away to our patrons! Stop by the Ask Us Desk to view the list of eligible performances and to enter our drawing. Must be an IPPL cardholder to enter. Only one entry per cardholder. Entries must be submitted by the end of the day Sunday, June 14. Winners will be drawn Monday, June 15, and notified Tuesday, June 16.

Join us for Homemade Readers, our 2015 Summer Reading Challenge for kids and teens, June 13 through Aug. 8!

Kick-Off Event: 
Family Fort-Building & Reading Lock-In

Sat., June 13, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Kick off the summer by building a fort in the library! Hang out with your friends, family, and favorite books. You bring the sheets and pillows, we'll provide the popcorn.

 

A Reader Lives Here! 

Kids and teens (birth-grade 12) can make a reading pledge. Tell us how many books you will read this summer, and you can get an A READER LIVES HERE! yard sign. One sign per household, please. While supplies last. Email a photo of you and your sign to [email protected], and you could be a winner!
