"We haven't been to a movie theater in three years. Why pay $20? You have current movies within three months."

Giving Tuesday

First there was Black Friday. Then there was Cyber Monday. Now there is Giving Tuesday, and the IPPL Foundation has joined the one-day national campaign dedicated to giving back.

The IPPL Foundation raises money to support the library and its mission to enrich people's lives by providing opportunities to explore, connect, and be inspired. For more information about the Foundation or to donate, click here

Food for Fines

Help us help the community this holiday season by donating nonperishable food and personal care items to our Food for Fines program Dec. 6-14. All items collected will be distributed to the food pantries at Our Lady of Peace and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. If those making donations have fines due, the library will waive one dollar of fines owed for each item donated.

Suggested donations include:

  • Boxed or canned foods
  • Canned meat and tuna
  • Toilet paper and paper towels
  • Facial tissues and shampoo
  • Toothpaste and deodorant

No opened or expired items, please.

Holiday Giving Tree Program

IPPL is one of twelve host businesses for the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 10th annual Holiday Giving Tree Program. Giving Trees will be on display through Dec. 24, and each tree's
ornaments will list items that local charitable organizations are in need of this holiday season. Simply choose an ornament, shop for the item(s), then bring them back to the library unwrapped with the ornament attached.

Holidays with hoopla

Holiday cheer for the eye and ear - that's what hoopla has this time of year! What would the holidays be without a movie night or two? Snuggle up with your sweetie for some titles from the "Holidays with a Heart" selection, or gather the whole family to watch a few "Festive Family Flicks." With hoopla, your choices are always available, no waiting! To check out free, streaming holiday movies (and music), click here
