StoryShare Interviews

The library will recognize the National Day of Listening on Nov. 28 by hosting family interviews. Community members can interview a family member while a trained volunteer operates the recording equipment. Participants will leave with a CD of the interview while the library keeps a copy to preserve for future generations. Interviews will last about 40 minutes, and the theme is "family." Families can book a one-hour time slot on Friday, Nov. 28, 1-5 p.m. or Saturday, Nov. 29, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Register by calling the Ask Us Desk at 630/887-8760 ext. 239. Junction Programs

This year, we are going beyond books and reading and encouraging people to expand their horizons by attending programs. Join us at the Junction - IPPL Junction! - to learn something new, create from scratch, and share your knowledge with your neighbors. IPPL card-holders who participate in designated Junction programs will earn entries into monthly and grand prize drawings, donated by the Friends of IPPL. Congratulations to our October winners, Cassie Rapp of Darien, and Zachary King of Willowbrook (Kids & Teens Junction winner).

At the time this list is published, there are still openings in these programs. Each program is linked to its description and registration form. Drop-in programs have an asterisk (*).

Community Survey

As part of a strategic planning process, the library is conducting a community survey about library services at 2014survey.ippl.info through Monday, Nov. 24. We invite residents of the library district to participate in the survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Those who complete the survey may enter a drawing for one of three $100 Amazon gift cards!
The information gathered from this survey will help us plan for the future. We appreciate input from our community, and we hope you will take the time to fill out the survey.
All responses are confidential. If you prefer a paper copy or have questions, contact the library's administrative office at 630/887-8760 ext. 245 or admin@ippl.info.
Again, we appreciate your time and thank you for helping us enhance our services to the community!
