Find Your Inspiration at the Wouldshop!
| |
Our makerspace is back! The library is in the process of creating a more sustainable makerspace called the Wouldshop, which will open in November. The space will include how-to books, as well as tools and materials for select projects. Stop by this week as we get underway by making felt and paper masks! Stay tuned as our Wouldshop comes to life and details become available.
What is a makerspace, you ask? A makerspace is a creative, DIY space where people can gather to learn, create, and invent. All ages are welcome, and families are invited to play and explore together. Children will need a parent/caregiver to use some of the tools provided so we expect adults to stay and interact with their child. Most materials in the Wouldshop can be reused so we ask patrons to leave them for others to use.

Storytellers Studio
| |
Show me a story! Mid-Kids in grades 4-6 can write a story, create a set/scene to tell the story, then use the recording equipment in our digital media lab to video their story in our Storytellers Studio program. Projects will be shared on the library's YouTube channel. The program will meet on Wednesdays, Nov. 5, 12, and 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. Sign up here.
Storytellers Studio is a Junction program, so IPPL cardholders who participate will earn entries into monthly and grand prize drawings donated by the Friends of IPPL.
