hoopla - movies & music on demand
| |
Did you know that you can borrow e-movies and e-music for FREE using an online service called hoopla and your library card? Visit the hoopla section of our E-Library page to get started.
Hoopla is an on-demand Internet media streaming service that works on your PC, tablet, or smart phone (iOS and Android devices). There are thousands of titles and they are always available so there is NO WAITING. IPPL patrons may borrow five hoopla titles each month. The loan period for movies is three days and music is seven days. Titles are returned automatically at the end of the lending period so there are never any late fees.
Hoopla has an extensive movie catalog ranging from Hollywood blockbusters and kids and family titles to classics and foreign films to how-to and health and fitness videos.
Featured genres for Halloween include Halloween Family Fun, Halloween Horrors, and The Walking Undead.
Hoopla also has an extensive music collection of best-selling artists and latest releases in genres such as pop and country to classical and jazz, even soundtracks, karaoke, and comedy. Featured music includes Blake Shelton's Bringing Back the Sunshine, U2's Songs of Innocence, the soundtrack to Frozen, and a genre of Spooky Sounds.

Share Your Favorite Book
| |
In October, share a picture of yourself (or selfie) with your favorite book! Photos will be posted to the library's Flickr account and may be displayed throughout the library, as well as featured on our website and social media pages. Photos should be emailed to myfavbook@ippl.info along with your name, town, phone number, email address, and library card number. Only one photo per cardholder, please, as all participants will be entered into our October Junction drawing. Open to all ages.
Above, Congressman Bill Foster is pictured with one of his favorite books, The Meaning of Relativity by Albert Einstein, which his father (also a scientist) passed down to him.
