OverDrive App Updated

Did you know that you can borrow e-books and audiobooks and download them to your computer, e-reader, or mobile device using your IPPL library card? It's simple - just visit our e-books page and click on eMediaLibrary.

For those who already use eMediaLibrary, the OverDrive app for Android, iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), and Windows 8 has been updated. Update features include:

  • The elimination of the Adobe Authorization step from the app installation process. First-time users will now be prompted to create an OverDrive account. There is no change for existing users who already have an Adobe ID or OverDrive account associated with their OverDrive app, even after they update to the newest version.
  • The app name has been shortened from "OverDrive Media Console" to "OverDrive." To support the new name, the app website has changed.
  • Users of all formats will be able to return titles before the end of their lending period.
Teen Cool Compositions Contest

Teens! Submit a poem(s), short story, and/or comic, and you could win a cash prize! Entry forms will be available beginning Oct. 1 at the Kids & Teens Ask Us Desk and at ipplteens.info. The deadline for entries is Oct. 29. First, second, and third place winners in each category will be announced Nov. 12. Click here for more information about the Write-On Teen Literary Festival

Teen Services Survey

The library is conducting an online survey of teens regarding the services the library provides. Click here to take the survey. The survey link will be active through Tuesday, Sept. 30. Any teen who completes the survey will be entered to win a $25 gift card from McDonalds, Barnes and Noble, or Amazon. Only one survey per person, please.

September is Library Card
Sign-Up Month
