Parking Lot
Seal Coating

Due to last Friday's rain, the seal coating and re-striping of the library's parking lot has been rescheduled for this Friday, Sept. 19. As a result, half of the lot will not be accessible and parking will be limited. In addition, the Clarendon Hills Road entrance will be closed. However, the book drop will remain open. We apologize for any inconvenience. The work will be rescheduled in the event of rain.

Read E-magazines for FREE with Zinio

Did you know that IPPL offers free e-magazines to our cardholders? E-magazines can be read on computers, tablets, or smart phones through a provider called Zinio. All you need is an IPPL card and an email address. To get started, or to see a full list of the magazines available, visit our e-magazines page. Once you download a magazine, it's yours to keep!

Sept. 18 is National Read an E-book Day

This Thursday, Sept. 18, is National Read An E-Book Day, created to celebrate and raise awareness of reading via electronic devices. Did you know that you can borrow e-books and download them to your computer, e-reader, or mobile device using your IPPL library card? It's simple - just visit our e-books page and discover our collections!

Junction Programs

This year, we are going beyond books and reading and encouraging people to expand their horizons by attending programs. Join us at the Junction - IPPL Junction! - to learn something new, create from scratch, and share your knowledge with your neighbors. IPPL card-holders who participate in designated Junction programs will earn entries into monthly and grand prize drawings, donated by the Friends of IPPL. Congratulations to our August winner, David De Cuir of Darien!

At the time this list is published, there are still openings in these programs. Each program is linked to its description and registration form.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

Sign up for a library card (or renew your expired card) during September for a chance to spin our IPPL prize wheel! In addition, cardholders will receive a ticket for a drawing for a Kindle Fire HD every time they check out materials throughout the month.

Teen Services Survey

The library is conducting an online survey of teens grades 7-12 regarding the services the library provides. Click here to take the survey. The survey link will be active through Tuesday, Sept. 30. Any teen who completes the survey will be entered to win a $25 gift card from McDonalds, Barnes and Noble, or Amazon. Only one survey per person, please.
