Parking Lot
Seal Coating

The library's parking lot will be seal coated and re-striped on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 11 and 12. As a result, parts of the lot will not be accessible at times and parking will be limited. We apologize for the inconvenience. The work will be rescheduled in the event of rain.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

Sign up for a library card (or renew your expired card) during September for a chance to spin our IPPL prize wheel! In addition, cardholders will receive a ticket for a drawing for a Kindle Fire HD every time they check out materials throughout the month.

Junction Programs

This year, we are going beyond books and reading and encouraging people to expand their horizons by attending programs. Join us at the Junction - IPPL Junction! - to learn something new, create from scratch, and share your knowledge with your neighbors. IPPL card-holders who participate in designated Junction programs will earn entries into monthly and grand prize drawings, donated by the Friends of IPPL.

Registration for Tech Talk, Facebook, Intermediate Excel, 3D Printing, and all other fall computer classes begins Friday, Sept. 5, at 9 a.m.

At the time this list is published, there are still openings in these programs. Each program is linked to its description and registration form.

Borrow E-books and Audiobooks Using eMediaLibrary

Did you know that you can borrow e-books and audiobooks and download them to your computer, e-reader, or mobile device using your IPPL library card? It's simple - just visit our e-books page and click on eMediaLibrary.

Some updates for those who already use eMediaLibrary:

  • Users can temporarily suspend a hold in the waiting list. The user's position will continue to advance in the queue, but the hold will not be filled. If a user advances to the first position while the hold is suspended, the system will skip to fill the next available hold.
  • When a user places a hold, the option to 'auto-checkout' when it becomes available can be set. Users will receive a notification when the title is available confirming that it has been checked out and can be found on their account bookshelf. Users who select this option but are unable to borrow the title at the time it becomes available (because they have already reached their maximum checkout limit, for example) will be sent a hold notification email and will have the full hold pickup period to check out the title.
Teen Services Survey

The library is conducting an online survey of teens regarding the services the library provides. Click here to take the survey. The survey link will be active through Tuesday, Sept. 30. Any teen who completes the survey will be entered to win a $25 gift card from McDonalds, Barnes and Noble, or Amazon. Only one survey per person, please.
