Treasure What you Treasure:

Yesterday we did the final drawing for the Fall Fund Drive. Liz Hilton and Mike Stevens were the lucky winners of the Chromebook! We have raised $40,000 of our $45,000 goal. If you have not donated, there is still time to help us meet that goal and get your tax deduction for 2013. We appreciate each and every contribution we receive, no matter the size and no matter when we receive it. So if you still would like to donate, you can! Thank you to everyone who made a donation to the Fall Fund Drive. Anser couldn't do it without you!

Thank you to the following families for their donation to the Fall Fund Drive: Terry and Danielle Kieffer, Paige Shafer and Bill Coffee, Maridee and Mike Lemieux, Sherri and Robert Haggett, Mike and Leigh Ruehman, Mary Kallmeyer, Kris and Joe Samer, Becky Marks and Dan Stout, Megan O'Neill, Jasun and Angie Temple, and Melissa Frasier and Raul Garcia.0

Important Notice for Elemntary School Parents:

Anser Families,

Please look for an important notice coming home with elementary school children regarding a lice screening in January. We've attached the notice in the event that you have not recieved one.

If you have questions or concerns please be in touch with Heather Dennis [email protected]

Click Here: Important Notice for Elementary School Parents

Reminder on Start times:

The front office staff gets lots of questions about start times at Anser, so we thought a refresher might be a good idea.

Junior High Start times:

7:50am- Students are let into the building to put items in their locker and proceed to class.

7:55am- All students are expected to be in their seat and attendance is taken.

7:56am- If a student enters the class after 7:55am they are counted as tardy.

Elementary School Start times:

8:10am -Students are let into the building to put items in their lockers or cubbies and proceed to class

8:15am -All students are expected to be in their seats and attendance is taken.

8:16am- If a student enters the class after 8:15am they are counted as tardy.

If you are running late or coming in to school after an appointment:

Come into the building and sign your student in on the green sheet. Your student will get a purple card that they give their teacher when they come into class. That lets the teacher know that the student has checked in at the front office. Please do not just drop your student off without coming in. This is a safety issue. If a student comes in by themselves, the front office staff has no way to tell if their parent dropped them off and knew they were late, or if the student might possibly have been somewhere besides school without the parents knowledge. Keeping your kids safe is important to us, so please help us do that by checking your student in when they arrive after school has started.

Exciting Changes for the Lunch Program:

Starting in January we will be selling milk a la carte for .50 cents. And we will begin serving chocolate milk! If your child has brought lunch from home and would like to get milk, they will need to check in with the lunch staff and then grab their milk. The . 50 cents will be charged to your lunch account. Please note that all students, regardless of whether they qualify for free or reduced lunch prices will be charged .50 for milk, if they have not ordered lunch, as we are unable to offer it for free outside of a full lunch.

Also starting in January we will begin selling a second slice of pizza to those who would like one  for $1.50. The second piece of pizza will be served on a first come first served basis, so if we run out of extra pizza, students will just receive and be charged for one piece as part of their meal. As outlined above with milk, the second piece of pizza will be $1.50 regardless of a student's free or reduced lunch status, because the second piece is considered an "extra food" and is not covered by the Free and Reduced Lunch Program.

We are really excited about the changes you might notice in the January menu ( more legumes, more variety) and about being able to offer milk outside of an ordered lunch and the option for a second piece of pizza. Please contact the front office if you have any questions about these changes. And thank you for making our new lunch program such a success!

Save Those Labels Please....

While mixing, pouring, opening, and baking, please save any and all labels that look like Anser could use to earn money for the school.

When in doubt, cut it out - and bring it to school after the break.

 Many Thanks.

Come hang out with your fellow parents on the second Friday of every month in the ANSER gym. Enjoy a little coffee, a small snack and hopefully, a lot of conversation. We're holding our "Coffee Hour" at 8 am on  the following dates-

January 10

March 14

April 11

May 9

It's a great way to start your day before you go to work or return home after drop-off. Everyone is more than welcome!

Visions of Cupcakes, Tortes, Pies and Cookies.........

Please email me, Tina Garcia, and let me know you have been having visions of deserts at

Our second Talent Wednesday will be held Wednesday, April 3 (the first Wednesday we return from Spring Break). If you've already performed this year please let others sign-up first who have not. We will let you know when it's ok for those of you who would like to perform again to sign up.
