Treasure What you Treasure:

"We are crew- not passengers." The Anser motto is displayed in our front entryway and is the philosophy that has called all of us to give what we can to meet the needs of our students. For over 15 years, parents, teachers, staff and students have joined together to make our community strong. And for 15 years we have joined together to meet the financial needs of the school. Most likely, none of us can write a $45,000 check to cover the gap between what Anser receives from the state, and what it takes to educate our students. But if we all contribute in a  way that is meaningful to us, we can meet our goal. At this point, approximately 50% of Anser families have donated to the Fall Fund Drive. We  are so appreciative of those families but we know we will never reach our goal unless we can count on contributions from our whole community. Imagine where we would be if only 50 % of our families volunteered, or only 50% of our families attended Student Led Conferences. The contribution will look different for each family, but we hope we can count on all of our crew to help us reach our goal. Every contribution is needed, every contribution is appreciated, and every contribution will help us meet the goal of educating Anser's students.

Thank you for the following families for their donation to the Fall Fund Drive: Nancie Swanke, David and Karyn Hatton, Scott White and Mallory Clark White, Ashley Brogdon and Gary Gettman, Georgina Brown And Tami Fife, Catherine and Vincent Serio, Matt and Gillian Wiggelsworth, Jennifer and Shaun Howell, Sal and Heather Banuelos, Todd and Emily Lin, Amy Parrish and Kevin Feris, and Jim and Laurie McNamara.

Have you seen the treasure chest?

The name of each Anser family who donates to the Fall Fund Drive will be added to our treasure chest on the bulletin board in the front hallway. This will help us thank contributors and track our progress toward our goal.  Let's fill this treasure chest until it overflows and we know we have met our $45,000 goal!

 Reminder for Clarity Survey:

Thank you to the over 120 families who have completed the Clarity Technology survey!  If you haven't completed the survey please do so right away. This 5 minute, anonymous survey was designed in such a way as to only allow the school to see results once we have received enough responses to have statistical significance. So we need your input! We are implementing this survey in order to understand how teachers, students and parents interact with technology. Gaining this knowledge will help us evaluate potential technology purchases and potential classroom technology usage. Please complete the survey by using this link and thank you for your input: www.BByt.es/KN8TP

Sign-up for Conferences: Student-Led Academic Goal Setting

December, 2013

Dear Families of Kindergarten, Early, Middle and Upper Childhood Students,

We invite and welcome you to become an active participant in your child's Student-Led Conference and Academic Goal Setting Conference. In the traditional parent-teacher conference, students are "third parties" to their learning progress, hearing about their development through the grapevine of teachers and parents. While teachers and parents are a vital part of our school's assessment practices, students at ANSER are expected to take an active role in this process.

To sign up please follow the link below:

Coffee Talk:

Remember when you used to have time to socialize like a grown-up and get to know people in your community in a casual, easy way? We'd like to give you the opportunity to do that here at ANSER! Come hang out with your fellow parents on the second Friday of every month in the ANSER gym. Enjoy a little coffee, a small snack and hopefully, a lot of conversation. We're holding our "Coffee Hour" at 8 am on  the following dates-

December 13

January 10

March 14

April 11

May 9

It's a great way to start your day before you go to work or return home after drop-off. Everyone is more than welcome!
