 | Playgroud Expectations: | | |
It has come to our attention that the playground has become a place in which some of our students are not following expectations. There have been reports of rough play, pushing, shoving, tripping when playing soccer, using the play equipment inappropriately, etc. Suzanne, Heather B. Sidra and Jill (principal intern) are spending more time on the playground ensuring those playing safe are recognized and those that are not are being held accountable.
Yesterday, during Whole School Community, Suzanne announced to students that following the school's character traits are expected by every student and adult whether it is in the classroom, school or outside. Students were told that if they did not follow expectations they would be sent in to Suzanne's office for a reflection time. After three sessions in Suzanne's office, the student will serve a half-day in-school detention. Parents may or may not be contacted after the first session, depending on the severity of the incident. Parents will be contacted after the second incident so they can speak to their child to discuss the importance school expectations.
We invite you to read the section in the school hand-book (found on our web-site) regarding school expectations. |
| CBC: | |
The next CBC session is approaching quickly and will begin the Wednesday after spring break. Students will be broken up a bit differently for this session. 1-3 grade students will participate in modules related to the Natural World design principle. 4-6 grade students will participate in modules related to the Primacy of Self Discovery design principle. Module coordinator recruitment forms will begin coming home in the next week or so. Please be on the lookout for these very important documents. The week of March 11th student registration forms will come home with a lottery planned for Friday, March 15th. The final primacy recital will be on the evening of May 15th (location to be announced). Back To Top |

| | CBC Scrapbooking needs you: | | |
We are still in need of parent facilitators for scrapbooking on the 13th of March. Scrapbooking is an important part of the CBC experience. Students are able to look back and reflect on their experiences and create a beautiful page for their student portfolios. Students will be grouped in multi-age groups and we will do our best to place you with your child/ren. If you are interested in helping to faciliate this process, please sign up below.

 | A message from the Idaho Special Olympics recognizing our Anser community: | |
(We) wanted to let you know about the AMAZING Anser turn out at (the Idaho Special Olympic Winter) games this weekend. There were Anser students in the Torch Run, at the Opening Ceremonies, at the Floor Hockey competition, and volunteering at Healthy Athletes. It was so touching to see the support from your compassionate youth. They are truly a gift to this movement and an example of what inclusion really looks and feels like. Thanks so much for your dedication to this movement |

Costumes Needed: | | |
Dear ANSER Parents,
I am looking for some costumes to be donated to our school for a project I am working on. They need to be adult sizes.
The costumes/items I am seeking need to be career oriented. These would become a part of ANSER for years to come, and be a part of your child's learning. J It would be even better if they had props that went along with them as well.
If you have any items in your home you wouldn't mind donating to a good cause, or know of somewhere to get the items, I would appreciate this so much!!!!
Examples would include, but are not limited:
Doctor/stethoscope
Cowboy
Archeologist
Pilot
Firefighter
Police man
Construction worker
Scientist
Nurse
Dentist
Farmer
Mother
Father
Rock Star
Artist
Coach
Designer
Electrician
Judge
Journalist
Historian
Athletic Trainer
Zoologist
Veterinarian
Civil Engineer
Thank you so much!!! You can leave them in the office with my name on them and Denice and Angie will get them to me.
