Anser Needs You:
Each year we hold the Spring Auction and Dinner to raise funds for our school. These funds keep the doors open and the lights on by filling the gap between what Anser receives in state funding and what it takes to educate our students. Anser needs your to help make the auction a success.

Please register online with auction frogs at ansercharterschool.afrogs.org to be in the communication loop and be able to preview auction items.

It is almost time to hand in Donation forms and Donation Items.  Anser highly encourages each family to contribute two auction items.

You can either donate items or solicit items.

- To Donate Items please fill out donation form online with your auction frog account or fill out hard coy form located on the bulletin board by the front office.

Parking Reminder:

We had a near miss in the cross walk last week. A parent turned right out of our drop off and pick up lane while the crossing guard was in the cross walk. Please be sure you don't turn out while the cross walk is occupied by students or by the crossing guard. We appreciate your help in keeping our students and staff safe!

CBC:

The next CBC session is approaching quickly and will begin the Wednesday after spring break.  Students will be broken up a bit differently for this session.  1-3 grade students will participate in modules related to the Natural World design principle.  4-6 grade students will participate in modules related to the Primacy of Self Discovery design principle.  Module coordinator recruitment forms will begin coming home in the next week or so.  Please be on the lookout for these very important documents.  The week of March 11th student registration forms will come home with a lottery planned for Friday, March 15th.  The final primacy recital will be on the evening of May 15th (location to be announced).

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART is on now: JRFH forms due week of March 11.

We are so excited about this great community service for heart research. Did you know that we have several students in our community who have been heart patients? Ask your children about our own Eman Guidry in UC. He has told us his own story about his special heart. Please take a few minutes and go to www.heart.org/jump and take a few easy steps to sign up online. You can send simple emails to family and friends. Our jump rope for heart party will be during PE march 11-15!

Thank-you from ECS:
Thank you to the family who made this wonderful donation. This stool is exactly what Exceptional Child Services is looking for to support our students in technology and the classrooms so they can have their feet firmly planted on the stool and be in the best position for writing and working on keyboards. We welcome these in the event anyone else finds one in their garage or attic. Thanks again for this great donation!.

 Load Our Library!

We still have our graphic novels project open on the Donors Choose website. So far we only need $128 more and have 32 days left. We want to send a sincere thank you to the following people for contributing: Stacy Slattery, Leslie M-B, Debra Mercy, Alice Antonioli, Jan and Anonymous! If you are interested in donating, please go to donorschoose.org. The name of our project is Load Our Library.

New this year we will also have a kids Fun Run and family Fun Run/Walk which is broken down into age groups and starts a little earlier at 9:00. Come join us at the West YMCA, 5959 N. Discovery Way on Saturday, March 2, 10:00-2:00. For more information or to register go to www.jlboise.com.

Costumes Needed:

 Dear ANSER Parents,

I am looking for some costumes to be donated to our school for a project I am working on. They need to be adult sizes.

The costumes/items I am seeking need to be career oriented.  These would become a part of ANSER for years to come, and be a part of your child's learning. J It would be even better if they had props that went along with them as well.

If you have any items in your home you wouldn't mind donating to a good cause, or know of somewhere to get the items, I would appreciate this so much!!!!

Examples would include, but are not limited:

Doctor/stethoscope

Cowboy

Archeologist

Pilot

Firefighter

Police man

Construction worker

Scientist

Nurse

Dentist

Farmer

Mother

Father

Rock Star

Artist

Coach

Designer

Electrician

Judge

Journalist

Historian

Athletic Trainer

Zoologist

Veterinarian

Civil Engineer

Thank you so much!!! You can  leave them in the office with my name on them and Denice and Angie will get them to me.
