Meet the Author at Cranberry Library
In a region that is among the most literate in the country, it is only natural that we have our fair share of local authors. Over the past 2 years or so we've really ramped up our efforts to work with this local talent.
We've welcomed everyone from very local, Cranberry author, J. J. Hensley to the nationally known owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers Dan Rooney. Last spring, we met with much success hosting our very first author author expo.
We're not slowing our efforts down in this area and we're delighted to have quite the author lineup this fall!
September brings us Cranberry Township raised Kate Benz. A professional writer, her byline has appeared in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review as a weekly columnist and feature writer. Her recent book, Images of America: Cranberry Township, is certain to delight local history buffs. We've partnered with the Cranberry Township Historical Society to welcome Ms. Benz on Sunday, September 25 at 2pm.
Did you know that New York Times Best Selling Author Nancy Martin lives right here in Pittsburgh? The author of 48 pop fiction novels in mystery, suspense, historical, and romance genres, Ms. Martin was nominated for an Agatha Award for Best First Mystery in 2002 and was the winner of the 2009 Life Time Achievement Award for mystery writing from Romantic Times Magazine. Come and meet Nancy Martin on Thursday, October 13 at 6pm.
October is also the time of year for all things that go bump in the night. Professor and Archivist, Thomas White, will be with us on Tuesday, October 18 at 6pm. The award winning author of 10 books, his passion is local lore and urban legends. His most recent book, Haunted Roads of Western Pennsylvania, takes us on a road trip of the strange and unnatural close to home.
Come on out and meet the authors at Cranberry Public Library!
