The Friends of Cranberry Public Library are a group of library lovers who work to benefit the library by holding annual book sales, sponsoring interesting programs, or volunteering at library events. You can give as little or as much time as you'd like.

Dues are only $5.00 per year, payable in January. Or, become a lifetime member for a one-time payment of $50.00.

New @ CPL:
ComicsPlus Library Edition

As part of the Butler County Federated Library System (BCFLS), Cranberry Library recently added ComicsPlus to it's repertoire of databases. 

ComicsPlus is available on any device that has access to the internet. It can be used in the library or remotely. The vendor works with over 90 publishers to provide access to over 12,000 comics.

There's something for everyone -- little kids, big kids, teens and adults! So if you're looking for something to do on a snowy day, check out ComicsPlus!

JANUARY 2016

First Editions Book Club
Monday, January 4 @ 7PM
Join us for a discussion of A Wrinkle in Time by author Madeleine L'Engle. Copies of the title are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk.

Tween Art Club
Tuesday, January 5 from 4-5PM
Kids in grades 4-6. Join Ms. Rachael on the first Tuesday of the month for an art project. Online registration required.

Cranberry Adult Discussion Group
Thursday, January 7 @ 10AM
If you enjoy talking about current events that are shaping our world this is the group for you. No registration required, simply drop in for lively, open-minded discussion.

Family Fun Night
Thursday, January 7 from 6:30-7:30PM
For all ages, a different themed evening of fun and activities for the whole family will be offered monthly. January's program is a hot chocolate bar and family games. No registration necessary, just stop in for fun!

TAB Meeting
Monday, January 11 & 25 from 4-5PM
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) plays an important role in the Cranberry Library by helping to plan events and by giving input on new books, DVDs, and music for the teen collection.

Project Frog Watch
Tuesday, January 12 from 6-7PM
Ryan Stauffer from the Succop Conservancy will teach about the life cycle of frogs as well as introduce how to identify frogs using call and collect data. Please register, as space is limited. 

Young (at heart!) Adult Book Club
Wednesday, January 13 @ 7PM
January's book for discussion is The Selection by Kiera Cass. Copies are available at the library's circulation desk. All fans of YA fiction welcome!

Homeschool Crafternoon
Thursday, January 14 from 1-2PM
Join Ms. Rachael to make a craft and hang out with other homeschoolers! For children ages 6-11. Register online.

Family Playtime
Thursday, January 15 @ 6:30PM
For birth-preschoolers. Drop in to play with toys bought with our Family Place Grant for an hour of free play and family and friend bonding time! Register online.

Budding Builders
Thursday, January 21 from 4-5PM

Tail Waggin' Tutors

Elementary school children can practice reading with one of our dog tutors. Online registration required.

1st-3rd Grade Book Club
Wednesdays, February 3, 10, 17, & 23 from 7 -7:30PM
Kids and Ms. Rachael read together each week and then do activities or a craft related to the chosen book. Books are provided at each club meeting. Online registration required.

Princess Tea Party

Join us for our annual mother-daughter Princess Tea Party hosted by the library's Teen Advisory Board. Online registration is required, but once you're registered you can stop in anytime between 11-1 for fun! Princess attire highly encouraged!

Kaplan will be bringing a free combo SAT/ACT practice test to the library. Registration is required and will be done through Kaplan's website.

Maker Monday

For grades 7th-12th, this is a NEW program to CPL. We'll be working towards creating a monthly library magazine by teens and for teens and also have other projects and art supplies available. Stop in and make something!
