Becky

After nearly 9 years of service, Becky Santry, "Miss Becky," will be retiring from her position as Head of Youth Services, Librarian.  The staff, volunteers, and library board extend sincere best wishes to Miss Becky for much happiness, relaxation, and enjoyment in her "life after the library!"
Teen Volunteer Spotlight Katie G. Steele

NAME:  Katie G. Steele
Katie has been a member of the Teen Advisory Board for the past 3 years.

Library work performed:
Helps with kid's stuff, contributes to the Teens Think (gasp!) library magazine, and enjoys coming to teen library activities.

Why do you volunteer?  "I like reading and furthering the love of literary genius to others!"

Just read:  "I enjoy YA realistic fiction and historical fiction, although dystopias are always fun to read too.  Plus I read really boring nonfiction stuff and actually find it enjoyable."

Someday, when I have time: "I'm going to work on publishing a novel I finished last year, or finish another book I'm in the middle of writing.  Possibly end world hunger if I have an extra half hour or so."

Cranberry Public Library thanks Katie G. Steele, and all of its teen volunteers, for their dedication and service!  We are proud to have you as a part of our Library's team.  Teen Volunteer opportunities are plentiful at the library for students ages 14 and older.  If you're interested in lending a hand, please call us at 724-776-9100.

A special thank you to the Cranberry Township Shop 'n Save for their donation of holiday gift cards for our Library Volunteers!  Their generosity and support of Cranberry Public Library is greatly appreciated.
