As many of you know, I enjoy sharing a good resource or helpful nugget of advice, and this month, I have an article and book I think you'll find interesting. I recently published a headline article in TechCrunch entitled, " How Apple Can Improve It's Watch and Boost Sales." If you're like me, you're probably tempted to rush out and buy the latest gadget. Be sure to scroll down and read the article where I make a strong case for why it may make sense to resist the urge to buy the Apple Watch and wait awhile. If you're prone to procrastination, overwhelm or distraction -- and aren't getting your priorities handled, I highly recommend Mark Silverman's book, " Only 10s: Using Distraction to Get the Right Things Done." This book is like a Swiss army knife filled with tools that will help you break those habits and achieve your goals. Furthermore, it's quick to get through -- unlike many business books. Truth be told I read it twice, and got much more out of it the second time around; it's that rich. I read a lot of books, and I find Mark's to be an invaluable resource that I will be recommending to all of my clients and colleagues moving forward. Until next month, wishing you continued success! "How Apple Can Improve Its Watch And Boost Sales" Apple isn't releasing exact sales numbers, but some expert digging has led many to believe that sales of the Apple Watch haven't reached expectations since its launch in spring 2015. The company's annual filing suggested it sold $1.7 billion worth in fiscal 2015, but compare that with the iPhone, which sold $32.2 billion worth in the fourth quarter alone. That's a big discrepancy for a company that's used to seeing lines around the block for new product releases.
I spent 12 years at Apple - most of my corporate career, in fact.
