Like most people I know, my brand has undergone several transitions as my career has evolved -- from digital music exec to consultant to talent producer to celebrity wrangler to thought leader to radio show host to best-selling author, and definitely to my newest spoke on the wheel, in my current role as Trusted Advisor.
As an entrepreneur or business owner or stakeholder, you undoubtedly understand the importance of having a strong network. What many people don't understand is that it's not always who you know, but what you do with those connections, that matters.
Throughout my career, my extensive network in Silicon Valley has allowed me to create introductions for startups seeking funding for their ventures and secure celebrities like Jerry Seinfeld for corporate events. But I haven't done this by connecting with a bunch of random people on LinkedIn or Facebook; I've nurtured these relationships through the power of reciprocal networking in entertainment (from musicians and celebs to media execs and chairmen of film studios).

Book of the Month!
| |
by Cheri Huber
This book provides numerous exercises and self-help tools for working through problems with resistance, revealing how resistance operates in everyday life and guiding readers to consider how they can be free of it. The teachings in this book show how to recognize resistance in its many forms, not take it personally, and be free of its control.
The platform is that the voice of resistance-thoughts such as I'll do it later-is not personal; everyone has it. Instead, it is the voice of a survival system that can take people from commitment to inaction in a matter of seconds. Then, self-hating voices level internal accusations for not having followed through, including thoughts of failure, shame, and lack of self-discipline.
