Letter from Kelli
As I pack to head out to another private mentoring event, this time in Hawaii, I'm rushing to make sure clients are connected with power players in time to close their deals, I stop and cross the T's on this newsletter. This is one of those months that I could skip the newsletter, just because it's so busy - but that's the MOST important time to stay in touch with our tribe, right? That's exactly the right time to stop and think about MISSION and LEGACY.
I'm just about to start the next iteration of my Amazon bestseller, The Magic and Moxie of Apple, to bring some of those best practices of Apple into light anew by looking how they're applied (and not applied) in the next decade of the digital age.
According to Science Daily, 90% of all the world's data has been written in the past 2 years. Wow. That is an incredibly daunting idea. Literally 90% of the information that is readily accessible to the world today was not available only 2 years ago.
How are we managing all that data? How are we controlling the flow of what comes into our lives? And where does the digital revolution move us forward - and hold us back. Well, that may be another book for another day, but for now, looking at the iconic leader consumer products and innovation and how all of that flows into our hands is a good place to continue.
Enjoy the rest of July! Kelli

Mentoring Moment
Why do you need a Mission Statement? Clarity of Vision!
Here's the thing, you MUST be laser focused on why your business exists. Your partners, associates, customers, clients, team members and even your vendors need to know it too. If you do not already have one, you need to exercise urgency to create yours - and definitely use a Trusted Advisor to create this.
Your Mission Statement must solidify the optimum state of your business and take your legacy and dreams into account. You need to make it memorable and your point of reference for every decision. This is the touchstone for what comes next, and next and next, and it's not necessarily limited to your business.
Your Mission Statement can (and probably SHOULD) include what you see for your whole life, otherwise you're at risk of sacrificing everything for the sole goal of achieving success in your business or career. We've probably all made that mistake at one time or another - now is not that time. Lean on your Trusted Advisor to create a whole life vision.
Why not invest a few minutes and watch Simon Sinek's "Star with Why" TED Talk http://youtu.be/qp0HIF3SfI4
If you don't have one yet, reach out to me and inquire how to start that process and define your most powerful Mission Statement ever. info@AllAccessGroup.com

Featured Interview

Tune in HERE for my powerful interview with
Steve Hayden, creator of Apple's "1984" Ad
Steve Hayden is one of the most important figures of the late 20th century advertising, leading creative teams at both Chiat/Day and BBDO on the Apple Computer account, where he worked with Steve Jobs and Lee Clow
on the "Think Different" campaign and made advertising history as co-creators of the breakthrough 1984 Orwellian take-off ad for Apple Inc.
He has won hundreds of awards for creative excellence and dozens more for effectiveness (including the Grand Effie for the launch of the Apple Powerbook.) After helping Apple reclaim the industry lead from IBM and Microsoft, In 1994 Hayden moved to Ogilvy to head up the IBM account and change the public perception of a brand many considered extinct, eventually propelling Ogilvy to a decade or growth and prosperity. Steve has contributed to award-winning campaigns for such diverse clients as American Express, Kodak, Motorola, Dove, Cisco and SAP.
