Exciting News! Invited to Speak for the US State Department IIP
I was recently invited by the US State Department, Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) to be part of their world renowned speaker program. This program offers workshops and seminars to discuss American policies, society and culture and has included Supreme Court Justices, renowned authors, innovators, scholars, entrepreneurs, journalists, and artists. It is a great honor to be part of this effort.
So in May I'm off to the U.S. Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago to share my expertise on digital distribution for music, books and films. Offering information on how musicians, authors, filmmakers and other artists embrace digital platforms (such as Amazon, iTunes, and Google) to market and sell their creations to a worldwide audience is a huge personal passion for me. It's great to see that our government recognizes the worldwide platform and opportunity that artists have available today - and our commitment to sharing our knowledge with the world.
