Welcome to the inaugural edition of The Sun Valley Horizon. Thank you for taking a moment to learn what is happening on our Farms. Expect this newsletter periodically; it will feature what flowers we have in the ground, what is happening in our community and hopefully give you a little more insight into what we have on the Horizon. Farmers are always looking ahead, whether to the next planting, the next harvest or the next weather pattern. Redwood Grove
French Tulips
Our Redwood Grove French Tulips are as big and bold as the redwoods themselves. Using superior single late bulb stock and optimum growing conditions these tulips reach for the sky. A 26 to 28 inch stem length makes these luxury items stand above the crowd. It is not just their length that leads to their impressive stature, the bloom expands to the size of a Faberg� egg. We offer these in the traditional pastels of spring, and for a limited time we are offering an exclusive amount of bright, colorful Frenchies from the Pride Series. We are preparing for another great Mother's Day here on the Farm. Our lily crop is in the ground, and coming up strong. We are anticipating a bumper crop this year, so talk to your Sales Rep to make sure you have enough lilies, tulips and iris ordered for Mother's Day.

Our Sun Pacific Bouquet Division is growing! Last year we had record sales, and this trend is continuing as we approach Mother's Day. Customers love our bouquets created at our Oxnard farm, using flowers cut fresh from our Arcata, Oxnard or Baja Farms. Bouquets are an easy, profitable way to keep your sales up through summer. Francisco has one of the most challenging jobs at Sun Valley. He is responsible for keeping all of our team members SAFE. At first glance farming doesn't seem that dangerous. Yet, when you add in all sorts of machinery, from tractors and fork lifts to packing lines and bunching machines, things can get pretty dicey. Francisco makes sure that all our employees are properly trained and don't take unnecessary risks.
