Learn how to see your collection in a whole new way! You have a treasure trove of materials hidden in your collection storage. Don't hire a consultant - let us show you low cost, DIY solutions that will utilize your resources and help you tell new stories with your existing collections. Choose to attend either a single session (the Hack the Museum session or the Community Engagement session), or both!

These workshops are presented in conjunction with the Dutchess County Department of History with generous funding provided by a Heritage Development Grant from the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.

Session One - HACK THE MUSEUM
Participants work in teams using pre-selected museum objects from stored collections to generate fresh exhibits.

Session Two - COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Participants review traditional marketing methods as well as learning about new non-traditional exhibit design approaches that feature technology
April 17 - Locust Grove Estate, Poughkeepsie
April 20 - Wilderstein Historic Site, Rhinebeck
