Behind-the-Scenes at the Hudson River Museum
(11/8, 3:00 - 5:00 PM)

The Hudson River Museum presents Strut: The Peacock and Beauty in Art from October 11, 2014 through January 18, 2015. Organized by the Museum, it is the first scholarly survey of the peacock in art. The exhibit explores our fascination with this most glamorous of birds, a symbol of vainglory and the darling of designers and painters.

Come join us on Saturday, November 8, and enjoy a special "Curator's Tour" of the exhibit with Laura Vookles, Chief Curator of Collections and a co-curator of the exhibit. After the tour, we will ascend the grand sky-lit staircase of Glenview Mansion to enjoy a private reception in the newly renovated conference room

and its behind-the-scenes painting gallery. For more information and to register, please click here or on the picture at left.
