Greater Hudson Heritage Network's Awards for Excellence program seeks to recognize and commend exceptional efforts among GHHN members. Awards are made to projects that exemplify creativity and professional vision resulting in a contribution to the preservation and interpretation of the historic scene, material culture and diversity of the region.
2014 Awards for Excellence are presented to:

This award is in recognition of the publication of a new walking tour book and map.
Ellenville Public Library and Museum
Ellenville (Ulster)
This award is in recognition of the regional history advancement and community collaboration involved in the activities commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Yama Farms Inn.
Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct
Dobbs Ferry (Westchester)
This award is in recognition of the board vision involved in the production of the short film entitled 'Celebrate the Aqueduct'.
Southold Historical Society
Southold (Suffolk)
This award is in recognition for the publication of Murder on Long Island - A Nineteenth Century Tale of Tragedy and Revenge by Geoffrey Fleming and Amy Kasuga Folk.
