'CHUCK PAINE DESIGN
WOODEN YACHTS'
Chuck Paine, has been designing yachts since 1972, and there are approximately 1000 afloat that have evolved by his hand. He is a talented artist with a degree in engineering which gives him the ability to insure that the designs under his letter head are not only pleasing to the eye but also are engineered with numerical exactitude. Mr. Paine insist that any yacht which acquires the Paine pedigree, will be around to serve its master for many years.
We are proud to feature the 1993 Chuck Paine Design Cutter, "Esme", this month. She is a beautiful wooden yacht with long lines, exquisite hand crafted detail and overall in very nice condition. She is ready for new owners to bring fresh wind into her sails and has recently been reduced in price to help do so. Originally asking $175,000... now $149,500.
We would love to take you to see "ESME" today.. give us a call to coordinate a good time (904) 471-8865.

St. Augustine Holiday Regatta of Lights
On December 8th, St. Augustine Yacht Club hosted the 23rd Annual Regatta of Lights along the waterfront, just north of the Bridge of Lions in beautiful, Historic Downtown St. Augustine. A tradition that holds steadfast with the city's rich nautical heritage. SouthEast Sailing & Yachts unfortunately could not participate this year, but we watched anxiously from the bridge with hundreds of other onlookers in hopes to see holiday cheer float our way. The fog began to lift and at 6:00pm the canon fired from Castillo de San Marcos and signaled the start of the illuminating event.
Boats of all sizes paraded past a cheering crowd with light displays of Christmas trees, a Pirate Ship, fishing Santa's, shooting stars and even Santa in a Yellow Submarine! There was one sailboat that really stood out from the rest, who communicated a message that is truly heart felt and even won "Best Overall" award of the show... "Peace On Earth" shone bright from the side of Eric Motter's sailboat, "Serendipity", with a huge peace sign extending to the top of his mast.
 | 2012 Holiday Regatta of Lights |
A happy time was had by all. As always, we enjoyed the annual light display on land, lining the eve's and trees of Historic St. Augustine while the watching a beautiful parade of boats bring holiday cheer on the water. We hope you will join us next year for some more floating holiday cheer!
