2013 Membership Rate Fee Changes
~ Wednesday, November 7, 2012
5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

This is an opportunity for everyone who sails, volunteers or participates at the DSC, and especially all MEMBERS of the DSC, to have input about proposed membership rate changes for 2013.These proposed changes involve both monetary amounts and changes in benefits.

Membership fees are a significant part of the DSC budget, helping to pay for essentials such as boat insurance, boat maintenance, docks and facilities maintenance, staff salaries, office rent, utilities - all the expenses involved in running a Sailing Center.Any changes to membership rates affect you and they affect the DSC's ability to provide safe and quality sailing to you.We need your input before any changes to membership rates are determined.

Advanced Registration is not required.  Refreshments will be served.
Post-Storm Fleet Work

It is hoped that all friends of the DSC and their families were kept safe while Hurricane Sandy blew by earlier in the week.  Baltimore was very lucky to avoid the disastrous power the storm unleashed during its reign.  We send out caring thoughts for those who have been affected.

The Staff of the Downtown Sailing Center extends an enthusiastic "Thank You," to the many members who volunteered to help prepare for Hurricane Sandy.  Due to the hard work last weekend by our dedicated crew of volunteers, the fleet and facilities at the DSC experienced no damage during the run of the storm.

This Saturday, November 3, 2012, commencing at 9:00 AM, we will begin working to restore the fleet to, "ready the boats," for Frostbite Racing, which will start at 1:00 PM.

If you are available to lend a hand in reattaching booms and getting sails/lines on boats, please register here for the Fleet Work on Saturday morning.

To register for the Frostbite Racing after you've helped get the boats up and running, Click Here.

Again, our most sincere gratitude to all "hands on deck."

See you Saturday!

Creating Connections to Sail

The most efficient manner of getting out on the water from October to April is to create Skipper & Crew Member connections.

Fall and even into the winter through spring brings with it brisk winds and (hoped-for) "temperate" temperatures! Along with these great sailing conditions comes dwindling daylight. In order to help facilitate member sailing we have added this forum so members can openly communicate about sailing with one another.

Follow the link provided, subscribe (you'll receive email notification when someone posts a topic/request) and start connecting!
