Eradicate hunger...

During March and April, we are raising funds through the Feinstein Campaign to Fight Hunger.
The more monetary donations that United Methodist Ministries receives, the more of the Feinstein money we will get. Congregations, groups, and individuals may contribute by mailing checks to United Methodist Ministries at 2665 Farnam Street, Suite 102 | Omaha, NE 68131. Please write "Challenge" in the memo line.

Community partnership...

We have been selected as Urban Abbey's community partner for the month of March. You can support us both by meeting a friend at Urban Abbey, in Omaha's Old Market, for coffee or tea. During March, United Methodist Ministries will receive:

      • 10% of all coffee bar sales
      • 100% of all special UMM-labeled coffee bean sales (thanks to a special partnership with the Beansmith)

Breakfast event recap...

On February 13th, more than 135 people attended our fourth annual gathering held at Omaha's Metropolitan Community College Culinary Arts Institute.

Youth invited to fight hunger...

garden We have "refreshed" our Global Youth Service Day event format for 2014 and are now accepting registrations. This year's event will focus on hunger and poverty, with participants working in local community gardens. April 12th, 9am-3pm at Hanscom Park United Methodist Church in Omaha. Groups do not have to be United Methodist in order to participate!

Grand (re)opening...

The Blue Flamingo Fair Trade Boutique celebrated its grand (re)opening in February at its new location inside Hanscom Park United Methodist Church. This program works to fight global poverty by providing a livable wage for farmers and artisans around the world, while educating local groups and individuals about the power of their purchasing dollar.
