World Changing News For Propane Users
Asia is set to become the largest buyer of U.S. Propane
The largest propane market on the planet, Asia, will finally be opening up for massive U.S. LPG exports when the Panama Canal expansion comes to fruition.
The expansion project has the canal in the process of being widened to be able to support larger transport vessels including the large gas carrier class of ships that are needed to haul propane overseas. While the change will significantly reduce travel times and travel costs to the region, it will more importantly be opening up U.S. exports to a market of propane users that is 5 times greater than our current one in North and South America.
China, India, and much of south east Asia have an enormous population of daily propane users that are anxiously awaiting the completion of the canal. Why? The American price for propane is 70 cents cheaper than their current providers in Saudi Arabia. That massive savings has Asian countries frantically making arrangements to get in while the price for propane is still low.
Most notably, a deal has been struck between the U.S. and Chinese petrochemical companies as China is expanding their order for propane to support their increase in the manufacturing of plastic products.
This is a world changing event not only for propane users, but for the world economy at large.
Considering the propane shortage in the U.S. last year, will there be enough inventory to support the overseas demand? Do you honestly believe the price won't go up when foreign countries can outbid local demand?
We'll find out more and keep you informed. Stay tuned for more updates from thriftypropane.com
