| Breaking News:
Worldwide propane costs are spiking up.
Prices are the lowest they'll be and they're moving up right now. The worldwide wholesale cost of propane went up 3 to 4 cents just yesterday, most notably in the Middle East. One of the causes could be that Saudi Arabia propane port will close off exports for 2 weeks in June.
Another major cause is that the US inventories were depleted 15 million barrels this week, an unheard of number. 7.7 million came out of our normal stockpiles and 7.5 million came out of the US strategic reserves (SPR).
Where did 15 million barrels go? Has our economy improved that much? Or is there another reason? If this is a trend then prices will move up violently.
We'll keep our eye on it. We'll let you know when the report is released next Thursday at 11 am. (Normally, the EIA reports are released every Wednesday, but this holiday weekend has pushed it back to next Thursday.)
