THE EQUIPMENT TO DO THE JOB
The Thrifty Propane difference this past winter was equipment: because we thought ahead and planned ahead, we had the equipment needed to deliver the propane to your home as well as the propane to deliver. Thrifty Propane even had trucks in reserve, which, as the winter wore on and vehicles fell out of service, could be brought in to keep the propane moving. By contrast, the major national dealers, as well as smaller dealers, failed miserably to serve their customers because they just didn't have enough equipment, while they charged as much as $7.00 or $8.00 a gallon for propane that was delivered weeks after it was ordered. Some even walked away from their residential customers altogether, pointing to contract fine print for their excuse, while they continued to deliver to their commercial accounts without interruption, an outrage that should be against the law. This was an unforgivable neglect of the public who depended on them to heat their homes. The majors demonstrated this winter that they put profits before their customers, who often suffered for this unconscionable neglect.
