MEASURE A FUNDS- Make Your Voice Heard!
San Mateo County voters in November 2012 approved a half-cent sales tax called Measure A. San Mateo County makes a small amount of general funding available for arts and culture in comparison to our neighbors in San Francisco and San Jose. This can change if there is enough support from the public to support this usage of Measure A funds for cultural programs. This is an opportunity for San Mateo County to be an even better place to work, live, play and visit. If you are a resident of San Mateo County, now is a good time to let YOUR county supervisor know about how you feel these funds should be spent. Go to www.smcspeakout.com and submit your ideas by March 30, 2013.
