COLLEGE BOUND GRADS Over $10 million in scholarship last year
Year after year, 99% of Perspectives graduates are accepted to college. As the acceptances roll in this year, students are receiving even more good news -- millions of dollars in college scholarships. In 2012, Perspectives graduates earned more than $10 million in scholarships. On the very first day of class this school year, I told each student in my classroom that one of my goals for the Perspectives Middle Academy Class of 2013 was to do everything in my power to achieve a 100% graduation rate. I like to remind my scholars on a regular basis that they can be successful and happy today and well into their future. SAME STUDENTS, SAME FUNDING
Support equitable funding for all CPS students
On a cold and rainy Tuesday night at Union Station in downtown Chicago, hundreds of Perspectives students, parents, and staff braved the inclement weather in a show of solidarity for the "Same Students, Same Funding" campaign held in conjunction with National School Choice Week. More than 2,300 Chicago students, parents, teachers, and community leaders assembled in support of school choice and equitable funding for public charter schools. Learn More
