On January 3, our evening service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 620 State Street, 37902.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to use the Square Room on this date. First Presbyterian Church (FPC) has graciously allowed us to worship in their sanctuary at 5:00. You may park in the parking lot attached to their building. We will have ushers to help you find your way to the sanctuary and to the children's rooms. For a detailed parking map, please click here. If you have questions or need more information, please email jill@allsoulsknoxville.com.
As we come to the close of the All Souls budget year, our revenue is currently projected to be about $30,000 less than what is needed to cover our operating budget. As you prepare your year-end contributions, please prayerfully consider this situation and your gifts to All Souls. Remember you may make a donation online by clicking here.
The Great Donut Outreach - Please join in the fun and thank those who work in our city during the Christmas holidays with a gift of a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts! We will blitz the 55 downtown businesses that are open THIS SUNDAY, December 20th immediately following our service. You can reach out as a single, family, couple, or small group. We ask small groups to take several dozen donuts and visit several businesses. This can take as little or as much time as you'd like so even if you have another commitment after church, please consider participating - it's another way to show God's love in a practical way. Each box of donuts will have the name of a business that is open after church along with some tips on what you might say.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the birth and light of Christ with our Christmas Eve Service on December 24th at 5 pm in the Market Square Pavilion. Please note, this service will not be canceled. In the event of rain, we will meet in the 4MS conference room and send an email notification by 2 pm that day.
Collaborative Communication retreat - January 15-17, 2016. Many people are asking, "What is Collaborative Communication?" It is engagement in a rich conversation with others. It is an opportunity for honest listening and gracious questioning. It is an opportunity for koinonia (fellowship) because we share our authentic selves and create common ground or experience.
One purpose of collaborative communication is to know yourself and those around you better. Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to love the Lord, and the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). The reciprocity of collaborative communication requires sharing one's authentic self, recognizing another's authentic self, and speaking words of truth. This respect is a form of loving your neighbor deeply. For more information about Collaborative Communication and how to sign up, click For a more information about Collaborative Communication and how to sign up, click here. From Rebecca Loy - Dr. Kathy Evans, a professor of at Eastern Mennonite University, and a former member of All Souls, will be holding a group conversation on Restorative Justice in education, this Sunday, December 20, from 2 to 4 pm in the chapel at 4 Market Square. Service, Prayer Times, and Information
Part of the All Souls vision to "seek the peace of the city" is to be an urban monastery, pausing throughout the day to gather with others as we "pray the hours" in our downtown chapel, as well as various locations across the city. Each week, throughout the day, there will be a variety of contemplative prayer services. We invite you to join us. Click here to download a prayer schedule with days, times, and locations.

There is a nursery for babies under the age of one, and two classes for 1 to 2-year olds that meet during the whole service on the third floor. Children between the ages of 3 and 11 stay for the first part of the service and then come upstairs for a time of Bible stories, songs, and fun. If you're moving or going on a mission trip and would like for the church to send you out with prayer during the worship service, contact Jesse at jesse@allsoulsknoxville.com.
