The 10-to-the-City committee worked hard to synthesize the list that came from our congregational brainstorming session. Some organizations were listed in more than one category, so multiple listings were eliminated. Other suggestions were not non-profit entities, a requirement of this process. We also tried to focus on organizations located in the city (rather than national organizations). If an organization you suggested did not make the final list, we encourage you to apply for a Small Group Grant to fund a project for that organization. Following the vote THIS Sunday we hope you will plan on staying for a time of fellowship over a pizza dinner. We are suggesting a $3 per adult/$1 per child donation to cover the cost of food.

All Souls Members Discuss 10-to-the-City Options

Our 11th Anniversary Celebration is Sunday, October 11, at Caswell Park from 5 - 8 pm. We need about 15-18 volunteers to help us at this event. Please email jill@allsoulsknoxville.com  if you can assist with greeting and/or directing our guests, picking up trash, setting up our sound equipment, etc. Please remember to bring camp chairs and/or a blanket to sit on.

Every year at this event, we celebrate those who have invited Christ to live in them and through them, and are following Christ's example of baptism. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commands his disciples to baptize, and we read that the early church baptized believers upon their conversion in Acts 2:38. After-church potluck will begin every other week, beginning October 18, at around 7 pm at the home of Misha Testerman, Sarah Bateman, Rebba Omer, and Kacie Kenton, 1916 Brown Ave., 37917. The vision is to provide a place for people to come, eat, chat, and connect over a meal. All are welcome to participate in the food and fellowship.
