The Shepherding Team met on July 7. Here are the highlights of that meeting:
-
Melanie Leach reported there are 59 children enrolled in our children's program, with a few more babies on the way.
-
Shawn Mauer reported that the middle and high school students are meeting every other week to study the book of Judges.
-
Bruce Charles gave the finance report. Giving is down, which tends to be is typical for the summer months. Online giving accounts for 10% of donations.
-
Mary Baldridge and Kate Brimer reported that the 2015 10-to-the-City process will begin with the thematic categories related to the attributes of God's vision for a perfect city (ie youth, families, education). A congregational brainstorming session for suggestions for community partners in these areas will be scheduled in the fall.
-
Lisa Murray met with the team and helped lead a discussion around how we are doing, as a team and as a body, facilitating difficult conversations that result in spiritual formation.
Here are the minutes from the June Shepherding Team meeting.
We need photos for the newsletter and website. If you have an upcoming gathering of an All Souls' small group or community, please contact Katie Norrell at katie@allsoulsknoxville.com to drop by for a few pics to share in our communication pieces and with your people.
