Shepherding Team news - The January meeting of the Shepherding Team resulted in many decisions made and many plans to be made. Of the decisions made, the following Shepherds are taking on certain responsibilities for the year:
Marie Alcorn, Chair
Daniel Odle, Vice Chair of Property/Business Operations
Mary Baldridge, Vice Chair of Ministries
Ginger Kielarowski, Secretary
Bruce Charles will continue to serve as Treasurer with no voting privileges
Dan Holbrook, Nominating Chair
In following up the continuing discussion of the increasing need for support of the children's ministry, some of the space use issues have been addressed with dividers. However, one additional paid worker is still needed.
The intentional community building among some All Souls people in Parkridge is ever increasing in the response to the presence of the Holy Spirit. Parkridge neighbors are asking for input from Doug as well as others, including the Shepherding Team. At this time casual discussions are being anticipated to establish and maintain a system of support as the challenges of change and growth are addressed.

Knoxville Community Involvement
All Souls does not take formal positions on doctrinal or ethical positions outside of the Creed. We do, however, support our people as they, under the authority of scripture, in prayer and through community, discern the way of Christ in our world. Following Augustine, we believe in essentials, unity, in non-essentials, charity and in all things love. We celebrate all the diverse ways our members follow Christ in the world, even when we disagree with one another. Announcements in the update reflect the many ways our people are serving God in our community. They do not reflect All Souls' endorsement of a particular issue, doctrinal position, or cause.
"Because He First Loved Us!" is a Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance for Single Parents and their families. While others may make plans to splurge on Valentine dinners, shows, and gifts, the focus will be on those who may not be able to experience the same but are just as deserving. See information below on ways you can help serve our modern day widows and orphans for a day of laughter, fun, dinner, and dancing. This event will be hosted by Knoxville's Empowering Single Parent Network (KESPN) -a community of volunteers who host special events and celebrations for single parents and their families for a very affordable cost. Volunteers are needed for table hosts, greeters, childcare, servers, cooks, decorators, photographers, DJ, and help with set-up and breakdown. Donations are needed: Valentine arts and crafts, small stuffed animals, door prizes for the single parents who will be attending, and goodies to go in the Valentine's love bags (candy, cards of love, pens, encouraging artwork, picture frames, etc.) for each single parent family. The cost of the event is $15.00 (per family), which includes a nice dinner, family photos with backdrop, and Valentine craft for each child. Please call 865-951-6651, or email Sherra sl.robinson92@gmail.com for more information.

A companion student K-12 curriculum has been developed and is available for teachers and students.
The exhibition begins at the workstation of Knoxville Glove Company employee Margaret Newcomb, who personally sewed more than 10,800,000 industrial gloves from 1953-2013. Visitors are invited to "clock in and out" using a time card and an authentic time clock and will enjoy more than 80 artifacts of iconic Tennessee products, from Jack Daniels to JFG coffee to an Alladdin/Stanley thermos to an employee-signed hood of a Volkswagen. The perimeter of the exhibit includes 20 "Did You Know?" facts about manufacturing in Tennessee. The exhibition is sponsored by the Alcoa Foundation and TVA.
