knoxvillecommunityCommunity Involvement

All Souls does not take formal positions on doctrinal or ethical positions outside of the Creed. We do, however, support our people as they, under the authority of scripture, in prayer and through community, discern the way of Christ in our world. Following Augustine, we believe in essentials, unity, in non-essentials, charity and in all things love.  We celebrate all the diverse ways our members  follow Christ in the world, even when we disagree with one another. Announcements in the update reflect the many ways our people are serving God in our community. They do not reflect All Souls' endorsement of a particular issue, doctrinal position, or cause.

Opera, Food, & Wine Night featuring Noelle Harb

When?

Sunday, April 27 at 6:00PM

Where?

The Northshore Brasserie

9430 S. Northshore Drive

Tickets?

Tickets are $50 and are available online -

http://knoxalliance.com/knoxtix.html

This is quite a bit more expensive than my usual performances - but this is what your ticket includes:

Wine, Appetizers, and OPERA! Not to mention the chance to support Knoxville's newest (and most promising!) opera company Marble City Opera.

(Disclaimer: I realize I'm sending this email out to many friends my age for whom a $50 ticket is out of the question. PLEASE don't feel pressure to attend, but could you pass this message along to someone you know that might be interested?)

What Music?

First, and briefly, I will be singing "La Bonne Cuisine" by Leonard Bernstein - a funny, quirky piece of four French recipes set to music.

THEN the lovely and infinitely talented mezzo-soprano Martha Prewitt will portray Julia Childs in a delightful 20 minute comic opera by Lee Hoiby entitled Bon Appetit...

Directed by Aaron Dunn and Brandon Coffer on the ivory keys....

Thank you all so much for your love and support as I attempt to elegantly dive (ahem... belly flop) into the music world. :-)
