The Nominating Committee is recommending three members to be part of the Shepherding Team slate to serve 2014-2016.  These members are Mary Baldridge, Kate Brimer and Daniel Odle.  Please use the next few weeks to talk to these servants and pray over their inclusion on the slate, which will be voted as a team (either accepting or declining) on November 24 after the service.  If there are any issues with any of these candidates, please contact any member of the current Shepherding Team.

We are working on a photo wall on the back wall of the prayer chapel. We'd love your submissions of photos that help tell the All Souls story. Please send Katie photos that you'd like to submit and they will be reviewed by the design team. Thanks so much. katie@allsoulsknoxville.com

All Souls is brimming over with children!  We need more volunteers in our Sunday School program, particularly people who do not have young children themselves.  Volunteers help one Sunday a month during the church service.  Please call Melanie Leach at 705-9482 or email her at keepingheart@gmail.com if you are interested in sharing God's love through your presence with the delightful little ones at All Souls.

Workbooks will be handed out to those who decide to join the study. The first discussion meeting will be at 3:00 on Sunday, November 3 in the conference room.
The cost for the materials is $49.95 for the participant workbook, DVD and suite of online financial software. Scholarships are available. For more information go to the Crown website at Crown.org, or contact Ron Wollard at 865-209-7798 / rdw57ord@gmail.com.

The Holiday Store is a unique program through The Volunteer Ministry Center for individuals who are living in poverty to do community service work in order to  earn points which can be used to purchase gifts for their families. This approach leaves the parent knowing that they worked for the gift and allows the feelings of guilt or shame of being a poor provider (that often come along with charity giving), to be avoided. This approach allows folks to give their families gifts while maintaining their dignity.

Allie Eber, Joyous SIngletarty and Kristy from EYF

VMC is collecting new items (no used) to stock the store for the holiday season. The holiday store will open on December 2nd and will be open until the 22nd. I'm attaching the list of items requested and it is also posted here on VMC's facebook page. Donations can be dropped off at VMC M-F from 8-5 or can be given to Caroline Smith at church and she will take them to VMC.
