There will not be a newsletter next week on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas and much love from the staff at All Souls Church! See you next year. Come to the Christmas Eve Service!!!

The All Souls Personnel Committee is taking applications to hire a part-time youth director.  The youth director is primarily responsible for developing weekly activities, planning special events (like Operation Back Yard), and etablishing an active presence in the lives of the young people in our church community.  It requires 10-15 hours per week and pays a monthly stipend.  If you have a heart for young people and feel called to participate in this ministry, send an e-mail to Mike Fitzgerald at mikedfitz@gmail.com.  Katie can provide additional information and a copy of the Position Description. (katie@allsoulsknoxville.com)

The YWCA has invited All Souls personally to participate in the 5K run, 1 Mile walk; Race against Racism on Saturday, January 19th at 1:00pm. The event includes a diversity forum, lots of food, speakers, family activities, health information and loads of excitement. They are also seeking volunteers and sponsorships. The YWCA Knoxville is strengthened by diversity, and draws together members who strive to create opportunities for women's growth, leadership, and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people. For more information, please email Danielle Benson at DBenson@ywcaknox.com.

The 10 to the City info link wasn't working last week. Our apologies!! Here is a more current one. The results of the voting that took place after the service on November 18 in the 10 to the City process are linked.   Final budgeting decisions for how to use 10% of the All Souls budget (our "tithe" to the City) based on the results of the process will be made by the Shepherding Team before the end of the year.

There were 6 of us caroling around Krutch Park.  Another couple joined us, and gave Austin a $10 when they left!  Several folks stopped to listen as they left the ice skating rink, and they seemed to appreciate a "familiar carol."  A lady from Fountain City joined us at the end because she loves the carols of Christmas and then she had cocoa with us.  Hope the group grows in size next year---the city needs to hear the name of Jesus at Christmas time, and all the time.
