AMACHI INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON NOVEMBER 4
"[Amachi] is the passionate response to the needs of children with one or both parents in prison. These children are invisible to most of us. There are few viable programs to address the specific needs of the 'invisible' children. The Amachi program is designed to address these needs and later the potential negative direction of these children's lives." --Dr. Wilson Goode, Amachi National Founder
After church on November 4, Gloria Nolan, the director of Knoxville's Amachi program, will lead an informational session in the Conference Room discussing what Amachi is doing for Knoxville and how you can become a mentor to these invisible children in our city. Many All Souls folks have had long-term mentoring relationships with such children. You will hear about one of those during the offering on November 4. Read more about Amachi today by visiting http://www.klf.org/index.php/programs/amachi/

SEEK THE PEACE OF OUR YARDS - CALL DANIEL AISENBREY
"Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce." - Jer. 29:5
While you no longer have to worry about neighbors ding-dong-ditching zucchini on your front porch, the gardening season is far from over in East Tennessee! Fall is the perfect time to grow delicious veggies while leaving behind the sweltering heat and aggravating insects of summer. It's also a great time to give your soil a boost for next spring with a healthy dose of compost or organic fertilizer, or maybe even build a raised bed or two that will be ready and waiting come spring. Whether you want to break ground on your first garden or expand on a self-sustaining urban homestead, I want to help! Services include, but are not limited to: custom raised beds/planters, drip irrigation, rain barrels, compost systems, season-extension, and general garden maintenance. Contact Daniel Aisenbrey at 423-200-6363, or dcaisenbrey@gmail.com for a free consultation. Let's seek the peace of our yards, neighborhoods, and city!
