Attorney General's Sexual Assault Task Force

Engaging Men Digest - December 2012

Greetings,

Welcome to the December 2012 issue of the SATF's Engaging Men Digest. It's been a busy past few months for the prevention staff; we've been meeting with the new 2012-2014 Rape Prevention Education (RPE) grantees, contributing to SATF's statewide advocate training, visiting programs engaging men and boys in sexual violence prevention (PAWS for Change in Klamath Falls, Women's Crisis Support Team in Grants Pass, and Mid-Valley Men Against Violence in Salem), and attending a national summit on healthy masculinity organized by Men Can Stop Rape.

On the home front, we've been developing OMAV promotional materials and aligning the OMAV and Men's Engagement Subcommittee strategic goals and action plans. Finally, we at the SATF office have started planning for the 2013 Roots of Change conference, so stay tuned for more information!

Peace always,

Give hope and safety this holiday season

The need for victim advocacy and shelter services is constant; domestic and sexual violence doesn't stop for the holidays.

Please consider donating to your local DV/SA shelter or advocacy agency. Bonus: most community-based advocacy agencies are 501(c)(3) nonprofits, so donations may be tax-deductible.
